This year the Consumer Electronic Show 2009 saw the rise of hardware devices supporting Matroska out of the box. There has been a few devices out already that support Matroska (which we will list later on this website) but 2009 will be the year where it becomes mainstream.

• The new Samsung Plasmas will include a USB plug where you can put a USB key or hard-drive and play MKV files from there.
• NetGear announced a new Digital Entertainer Elite EVA9150 device that can play MKV files too (only with AC3 audio for now)
• HDI has 2 news devices: the Dune HD Center and Dune BD Prime that can both play Matroska content
• Conceptronic announced a new Media streamer device, the CFullHDMAi that can play Matroska
