Even more than
last year there was a big flow of new Matroska enabled hardware this year at CES. Here is a list of the ones we could find in the press. I am sure there are plenty of others from less known manufacturers or on different versions of existing products.
- LG XF2 which is a 500GB harddrive that can decode 1080p over HDMI, with apparently good subtitle support.
- LG also has a few new LCD/LED TVs that can handle DivX HD, so probably regular MKV files
- Syabas has few new versions of their PopCorn Hour devices. The A-110 replacement, the A-200 which among other things can write to NTFS, some basic BluRay navigation and uses much less power when idle. There is also a new PopBox concept which has no room for internal storage.
- Iomega has a similar device, the ScreenPlay Director HD which has a 1TB internal drive and can decode 1080p over HDMI.
-
- LaCie has a new version of their multimedia drives, this time the LaCinema Mini HD which is a smaller version of the LaCinema HD
- Aluratek has a 8.9" Portable Media Player that can decode 720p MKV files.
- Digital Cube's i-Station T9 which is a Portable Media Player that can handle 720p decoding on a WVGA screen.
