matroska Matrix 2 ( Reloaded ) trailer

Now, as the movie has already disappeared from the cinemas, we are finally able to upload this sample ;-) ..... lol ...

Most of the hard work was done by our friend CruNcher, a member of the XviD development team, who was creating the movie with a high-quality XviD encoding, did the timing for all the subtitles, etc. The only reason why this sample wasnt uploaded earlier, was the fact that by no means we have been able to convince him that a matroska tech show sample should make use of most of the features matroska is offering, and from our point of view one of the most important ones is the possibility to automatically correct the aspect ratio of the movie during playback, for anamorphic encodings.

Some time ago i received a test encoding of the very same trailer made by one of the leading developers of Real Networks Inc., using their fabulous RealVideo 9 codec. He was using an anamorphic aspect ratio to increase vertical resolution, and the quality was really perfect !

So i decided to reuse most of CruNcher's XviD sample to make a new sample from that, with the RV9 video track in a 640 x 432 resolution, tagged to be displayed at 800 x 432 to keep the original aspect ratio, and i added track names for all tracks, as well as chapters. And as this was exactly the same time when XviD 1.0 went beta, our friend CruNcher decided to redo the XviD sample, with the very latest version of the dev-API4 codec, and this sample was uploaded here !
